In popular world, there is a misconception that the word
Jihad means “the duty of Muslim to fight against the ideologies of
Non-Muslims”. This misconception was created by many radical organizations
which used the term Jihad to recruit cells all over the world. The actual
linguistic meaning to Jihad is struggle or strive. But western world has this ideology of calling terrorist act as
Jihad and the Medias clung to it by terming terrorists as Jihadists.
The Jihad promoted by Islam should be within a conscience of
human and his/her struggle to overcome evils in the society. Jihad is more like
a social reform rather than a terrorist act. Almost every religion or political
ideologies like communism or capitalism promotes a form of Jihad to improve the
life of a common man. So Jihad is prevalent among all the societies and
cultures and there is no need to stop Muslims from practicing the same.
Still, some of my
Non-Muslim brothers will be linking the ideology of “holy war” with the concept
of Jihad. The “Holy War” in the popular
world is believed synonymous to the mischiefs
done by some radical organizations like ISIS, LET
and Al-Qaeda. Islam is a religion which promotes peace, not war. Islam never advises a Muslim to wage war unless
there is a great need and only an Islamic Caliphate has the authority to
declare war. Radical organizations have no authority in terms of Jihad or Holy
War. The following Quran verse clearly explains that Islam is against war.
“Fight in the cause of
God against those who fight you, but do not begin aggression, for God loves not
aggressors.” – Al-Quran 2:190
The above verse from the Quran explains that Allah hates
aggressive approach of any kind. Then how
come these radical groups promote terrorism without being aggressive. What they
do is to compartmentalize the above verse into two separate sentences. They
will quote the same verse as the following “Fight
in the cause of God against those who fight you”. This quote will infuse
the idea that Islam supports “Holy War” and they use the word Jihad as a
catchphrase to conceal their real nerve.
Brothers who are brainwashed by these radical organizations
may still argue with my writing and uphold the ideology of terrorism in the
name of Jihad. Those guys who are following these organizations are indulging
themselves in the so-called “Holy War” to
reach the paradise. Those people answer the following simple questions

How to do you expect to reach paradise when killing
a human is the second major crime in Islam?

How come bomb blasts and killing spree of
innocent peoples are justified? If those people are killed for being Non-Muslim
then why prophet Mohammed (PBUH) gave
asylum to people of Mecca after the conquest?

Who gave
you the authority wage war in the name of religion?
·
How come
Sex slaves, drugs and prostitutions are common in organizations which fight to
spread Islamic ideologies?
Even the leaders of the radical groups won’t directly answer
these questions so stop following them and guide your soul towards Sunnah taught by
Mohammed (PBUH).
Islam never promoted war in the form of bloodshed so my dear
brothers please stop encouraging these radical organizations because these
organizations can’t operate without help from local people. If you guys stop
helping them then we are taking the leap
towards a peaceful world.
